Volleyball Game Preview: Sylmar Spartans vs. Reseda Regents

The Sylmar Spartans will square off against the Reseda Regents at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Wednesday, Sylmar came up short against Kennedy and fell 3-1.

While Sylmar ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 17-25, 25-19, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Reseda came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Hunters with a sharp 3-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Reseda walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 25-15.

Sylmar's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8. As for Reseda, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Sylmar took their victory against Reseda in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Sylmar repeat their success, or does Reseda have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
