Baseball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington lost against Rockdale last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lexington fell just short of Rockdale by a score of 6-5. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carson Beck and Mason Beck did some serious damage despite the final result: Carson went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple, while Mason scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Mason has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Tomas, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Rockdale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will face off against Little River Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockdale, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Rockdale Tigers take on Pflugerville Connally Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. They are facing Pflugerville Connally at the right time seeing as Pflugerville Connally is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
