Capital had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 35-24 win over the South Charleston Black Eagles. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Black Eagles, too.

When it comes to explaining why South Charleston lost, don't look at Malcolm Brown. Despite the final result, he rushed for 244 yards and one TD while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and one score.

Capital's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for South Charleston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Capital wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 38-6 loss against Huntington on the 3rd. As for South Charleston, they have also already played their next matchup, a 48-6 defeat against Herbert Hoover on the 3rd.
