Baseball Recap: Crowley Comes Up Short

Crowley fell victim to Boswell and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Boswell Pioneers. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost five in a row.

Crowley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keanu Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Crowley's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Boswell, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.

Looking ahead, Crowley will square off against Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mansfield's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Crowley's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Boswell, they will take on Mansfield Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mansfield Legacy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Boswell surely won't give up without a fight.
