Volleyball Recap: Western Alamance's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Western Alamance was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Rockingham County on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors came up short against the Northwest Guilford Vikings on Thursday, falling 3-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Western Alamance took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-22.

Having lost for the first time this season, Western Alamance fell to 4-1. As for Northwest Guilford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Alamance will head out to take on Graham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwest Guilford, they will venture away from home to challenge Southwest Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
