After losing to Homestead the last time they met, Los Altos decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Monday.

Los Altos had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-16.

Aviya Russo paced Los Altos' offense, picking up 15 kills. Russo got some help from Angela Deng and her 39 assists. Kat Minkevich controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Homestead lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Natalie Chen, who had 29 digs and three aces. Lilian Logan was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

Los Altos' win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Homestead, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-4.
