Basketball Game Preview: Brookwood Broncos vs. Duluth Wildcats

The Brookwood Broncos will square off against the Duluth Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Brookwood is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Norcross just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were dealt a 68-32 defeat at the hands of the Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 37th).

Meanwhile, Duluth lost to North Gwinnett at home by a 49-30 margin on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Duluth's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Brookwood, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-9.

Brookwood strolled past Duluth in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 55-41. Will Brookwood repeat their success, or does Duluth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
