Softball Recap: Wilder Takes a Loss

Wilder lost against Glenns Ferry back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats lost 15-5 to the Pilots. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wilder saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was N. Escutia, who scored three runs and stole five bases while going 3-for-3. Another was T. Ross, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Wilder now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Glenns Ferry, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilder will venture away from home to take on Greenleaf Friends Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Glenns Ferry, they will head out to challenge Idaho City at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pilots will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven matches.
