Sam Patterson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Addison Munson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Makayla Campo-Bracy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Ocean Lakes was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as First Colonial only posted a batting average of .043.

Great Bridge also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Bailey Bliven gave up four earned (and three unearned) runs on 13 hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cassie Kleier, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Hannah Ferrell was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Ocean Lakes hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Great Bridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Ocean Lakes came up short against Great Bridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 3-0. Can the Dolphins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
