Softball Preview: Hesston Swathers vs. Hillsboro Trojans

Hesston is 2-8 against Hillsboro since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hesston Swathers will look to defend their home field against the Hillsboro Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Hesston will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Hesston scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Friday. They never let Larned onto the board and left with a 15-0 victory. With that win, Hesston brought their scoring average up to 7.5 runs per game.

Brenlyn Richmond was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (she also didn't allow any walks). Richmond was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, a triple, and a stolen base.
