Soccer Game Preview: McCutcheon vs. Northwestern

The McCutcheon Mavericks will square off against the Northwestern Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. McCutcheon will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

McCutcheon will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Fishers, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Mavericks had just enough and edged out the Tigers 3-2 on Saturday. McCutcheon better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Nery Pacheco, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Northwestern was not quite Marion's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Giants by a score of 4-3.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for McCutcheon, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3-2.

Everything went McCutcheon's way against Northwestern in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as McCutcheon made off with a 5-0 win. Do the Mavericks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
