Preview: Simsbury Trojans vs. RHAM Raptors
The Simsbury Trojans's road trip will continue as they head out to face the RHAM Raptors at 6:45 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Simsbury is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than RHAM in Connecticut (Simsbury is ranked second, while RHAM is ranked 118th).
Last Friday, Simsbury came up short against Middletown and fell 37-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Simsbury has scored all season.
RHAM suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Wednesday. They were beaten by Newington 63-34. RHAM was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-13.
Simsbury's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-1. As for RHAM, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Simsbury strolled past RHAM in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 by a score of 42-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Simsbury since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
