Soccer Game Preview: Geneva vs. Circle Christian

The Geneva Knights will challenge the Circle Christian Centurions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Circle Christian better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Geneva really get things going. Geneva blew past Central Florida Christian Academy 5-1 last Thursday. Considering the Knights have won six matchups by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Circle Christian had no problem doing just that on Friday. They never let the Eagles onto the board and left with an 8-0 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Centurions' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

The victory made it two in a row for Geneva and bumps their season record up to 6-7-1. As for Circle Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-8-1.

Geneva came up short against Circle Christian in their previous meeting on January 9th, falling 2-0. Can Geneva avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
