Softball Game Preview: Genoa Area Comets vs. Van Buren Black Knights

The Genoa Area Comets will head out to face off against the Van Buren Black Knights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Genoa Area is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Genoa Area fell victim to Eastwood and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 26-0 to the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Comets have suffered against the Eagles since May 9, 2022.

Meanwhile, Van Buren also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Ada on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The Black Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Van Buren now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Genoa Area, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
