Soccer Game Preview: Monroe vs. Marysville-Pilchuck

Monroe is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks at 7:30 p.m. Monroe will be strutting in after a victory while Marysville-Pilchuck will be coming in after a loss.

Monroe's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Mead. That's two games straight that the Bearcats have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Marysville-Pilchuck had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against Archbishop Murphy on Thursday, falling 7-0.

Monroe was able to grind out a solid victory over Marysville-Pilchuck in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Will Monroe repeat their success, or does Marysville-Pilchuck have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
