Preview: South Central Trojans vs. Monroeville Eagles
The South Central Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Monroeville Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Central is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, South Central was the victim of a rough 70-50 loss at the hands of Edison.
Monroeville was handed a 24-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Buckeye Central on Tuesday. Monroeville narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Buckeye Central 46-44. The victory was just what Monroeville needed coming off of a 72-48 loss in their prior game.
South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Monroeville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
South Central came up short against Monroeville when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 60-48. Can South Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
