Volleyball Recap: Chase County Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Southwest typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Chase County proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Roughriders. For the Longhorns, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Roughriders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Chase County was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12.

Chase County's victory ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 11-12. As for Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 19-4.

Coming up, Chase County will challenge Perkins County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwest, they will face off against Medicine Valley on Thursday. The Roughriders are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
