Preview: Triumph Charter Jaguars vs. Monroe Vikings
Having just played yesterday, the Triumph Charter Jaguars will jump right back in to play the Monroe Vikings at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Triumph Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Monroe likes a good challenge.
Triumph Charter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 80-29 victory over East College Prep on the road. Triumph Charter's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Antonio Garcia III, who scored 35 points. The match was his 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Oswaldo Araiza, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, it was close, but Monroe ultimately received the gift of a 53-51 win from a begrudging Vikingssquad. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.
Triumph Charter is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Triumph Charter might still be hurting after the 52-32 defeat they got from Monroe in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Triumph Charter avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
