Volleyball Recap: Josie Wiewel and Anja Nelson Secure Win for Brimfield

Brimfield saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Kewanee Boilermakers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Brimfield was led to victory by Anja Nelson and Josie Wiewel. Nelson had ten digs and five aces, while Wiewel had seven digs. Nelson has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Brimfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are a perfect 7-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Brimfield's record is now 9-5. As for Kewanee, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8-1.

Brimfield has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Wethersfield on the 27th. As for Kewanee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Roanoke-Benson on the 27th.
