Football Recap: Lumberton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lumberton had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-4 to make it four. They took a blow against the Terry Sanford Bulldogs, falling 42-6. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 62nd).

Hudson Smith threw for 48 yards. On the ground, Damicquen Powell rushed for 35 yards.

As for Terry Sanford, their record is now 6-2. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.

Terry Sanford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Moore out in front who rushed for 100 yards and two TDs on only six carries, and also threw for 153 yards on only 13 passes. Another rusher making a difference was Isaiah Washington, who rushed for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries.

That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Jayden Graham and Tjurian White. Meanwhile, Terry Sanford is set to challenge their familiar foe Cape Fear at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 905 yards in their previous games.
