Wayne County has gone a perfect 10-0 against New Hampstead recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets are taking a road trip to square off against the Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. Wayne County's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Wayne County took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Benedictine, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Yellow Jackets' defense stepped up to hand the Cadets a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Wayne County were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Jonathan Tlacuatl, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, New Hampstead fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Perry on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for New Hampstead in their meetings with Perry: they've now lost three in a row.

Wayne County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for New Hampstead, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Wayne County got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against New Hampstead by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Yellow Jackets repeat their success, or do the Phoenix have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
