Basketball Recap: Anthony Snaps 11-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Anthony entered their contest against Irvin on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Anthony Wildcats fell to the Irvin Rockets 54-48. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Anthony's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-9. As for Irvin, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Anthony will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pecos at 4:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Irvin, they will take on Austin in a tournament on Friday.
