Football Recap: Crisp County Skates Past Tattnall County with Ease

There's no place like home for Crisp County, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past the Tattnall County Warriors 35-3 on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Cougars just coasted through the last quarter.

Crisp County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hagan Slimp, who rushed for 69 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries, and also threw for 101 yards on only nine passes. Another rusher making a difference was Derrell Brown, who rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Crisp County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 369 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Crisp County's record is now 2-5. As for Tattnall County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
