Soccer Recap: Jordan Takes a Loss

Jordan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Hillcrest Huskies, falling 6-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hillcrest this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in March.

Jordan's goal came courtesy of Daxton Baker, which was the first he's scored this season.

Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Hillcrest, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jordan will host Cottonwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Jordan will be up against Cottonwood's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.08 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hillcrest, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Stansbury at 3:30 p.m. Stansbury will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
