Recap: Wildwood Wildcats vs. North Marion Colts
The Wildwood Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 64-38 loss at the hands of North Marion. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Wildwood has suffered since December 15, 2023.
Zayden Garcia and Terriyon Bryant certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Garcia scored 12 points, while Bryant scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
North Marion's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Coy Sizemore, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Jerdarrius Jackson was another key contributor, scoring three points along with seven assists and seven steals.
Wildwood has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for North Marion, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9.
Wildwood the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome South Sumter at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. South Sumter presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wildwood in Florida (South Sumter is ranked 289th, while Wildwood is ranked 610th). As for North Marion, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
