Basketball Recap: Slaughter Community Charter Comes Up Short

Slaughter Community Charter lost against East Feliciana back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Slaughter Community Charter Knights took a 49-35 bruising from the East Feliciana Tigers. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Feliciana found their leader in sophomore Kariah Dunn, who posted 21 points. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Dunn has scored at least a third of East Feliciana's points. Another player making a difference was Jamya Delouch, who put up eight points.

Slaughter Community Charter's record is now 6-4. As for East Feliciana, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Slaughter Community Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Capitol at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for East Feliciana, they will head out on the road to face off against Port Allen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
