Baseball Recap: Red Bud Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

There's no place like home for Red Bud, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past the Sparta Bulldogs 11-3 on Tuesday. Considering the Musketeers have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Red Bud got a massive performance out of Lucas Schwartzkopf, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Schwartzkopf has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was BARRETT Wagner, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Red Bud's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Sparta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-12.

Looking ahead, Sparta will host Steeleville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Red Bud will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' matchup: after the Bulldogs face off against the Warriors, they'll take on Red Bud again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
