Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Wiregrass). They put the hurt on the East Central HomeSchool Patriots with a sharp  23-9 win on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Kings considering their one-run performance the  matchup before.
 Kaden Martin made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and three  runs. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news, Wiregrass got a  massive  performance out of  Zach Crisler, who  went 5-for-6 with one  home run, three  stolen bases,  and six  RBI. With that strong performance,  Crisler is now averaging an impressive 1.1  stolen bases per game.  Owen Brown was another key player,  going 4-for-6 with one  home run, four  runs,  and two  stolen bases.
 Wiregrass was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .521. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Wiregrass' victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for East Central HomeSchool, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wiregrass will host Ezekiel Academy  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for East Central HomeSchool, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Pineview Christian  at 6:00  p.m.
