The home team had won the previous four meetings between Contra Costa Christian and Making Waves Academy, and Contra Costa Christian kept the tradition alive. The Cougars came out on top against the Marlins by a score of 3-1 on Friday.

Contra Costa Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-15.

Quarry Lane's record now sits at 19-1. As for Contra Costa Christian, their record is now 4-10.

Quarry Lane took their victory against Contra Costa Christian in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Quarry Lane since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
