Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Jefferson's 12th in Last 14 Outings

Jefferson extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Trey Perez. The Jefferson Mustangs were the clear victor by a 54-30 margin over the Edison Golden Bears on Tuesday thanks in part to Perez, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 23 points and six boards. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Jefferson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Edison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-16.

Coincidentally, Jefferson and Edison will both be playing Highlands the next time they take the court. Jefferson will head out to face Highlands at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Edison will host them at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th.
