Volleyball Recap: Elgin Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Elgin had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Proviso West Panthers.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Elgin who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 30-28, 19-25, 15-13.

Elgin's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Proviso West, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Elgin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Antioch on the 18th. As for Proviso West, they will take on Lyons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
