Soccer Game Preview: Stall vs. James Island

The Stall Warriors will take on the James Island Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Stall is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Fort Dorchester on Tuesday. They lost 4-1 to the Patriots.

Meanwhile, James Island faced Ashley Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Swamp Foxes who were credited with the win. Ashley Ridge got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to James Island's three. James Island have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Stall's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for James Island, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.
