Recap: Fox Tech Buffaloes vs. Somerset Bulldogs
After flying high against the San Antonio Memorial Minutemen on Friday, the Fox Tech Buffaloes came back down to earth. Fox Tech ended up on the wrong side of a rough 45-23 walloping at the hands of Somerset on Saturday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fox Tech in their matchups with Somerset: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Fox Tech had strong showings from Amaryon Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Carlos De La Garza, who scored 2 points. Thompson is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now blocked two or more in the last four games he's played.
Fox Tech has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Somerset, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fox Tech will take on Canyon Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Somerset will be home for the holidays to greet Veterans Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Veterans Memorial is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
