Baseball Recap: Osage City Indians vs. Humboldt Cubs
Osage City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Humboldt Cubs, falling 8-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 on Monday.
Osage City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daityn Meek, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Osage City's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Humboldt, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Osage City will square off against West Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Humboldt, they will take on Osawatomie on Thursday.
