Baseball Recap: Raytown South Takes a Loss

Raytown South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Smithville Warriors, falling 14-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 13-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Raytown South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliver Logeman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Raytown South's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Smithville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Raytown South Cardinals take on Lee's Summit Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Smithville, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Raymore-Peculiar at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Raymore-Peculiar will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Smithville surely won't give up without a fight.
