Basketball Recap: Skipstone Academy Triumphs

Skipstone Academy won the last time they faced CrossPointe Christian Academy, and Scooter Barkley did his part to make sure it happened again. The Skipstone Academy Warriors came out on top against the CrossPointe Christian Academy Cavaliers by a score of 68-59 on Tuesday thanks in part to Barkley, who posted 38 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Skipstone Academy's points.

Another player making a difference was Ayden Brumbalow, who put up ten points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Skipstone Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for CrossPointe Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Central Christian the next time they take the court. Skipstone Academy will head out to face Central Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while CrossPointe Christian Academy will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
