 North Lenoir entered their tilt with Kinston with four consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Kinston Vikings  a   19-0 shutout  on Friday. The result was nothing new for North Lenoir, who have now won five contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
  Eli Kearney was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Kearney was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other pitching news,  Whit Johnson looked comfortable as he  pitched 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 Back at the plate,  Ethan Smith and  Jackson Jenkins did most of the damage at the plate:  Smith  went 2-for-2 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Jenkins  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Blake Crawford was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 North Lenoir's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Kinston, they are  on  a  ten-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-12.
 North Lenoir will head out on the road to  challenge  Bunn at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. North Lenoir is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. As for Kinston, they will be playing at home against South Lenoir at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Kinston has given up an average of 17.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
