Football Game Preview: Mediapolis Bulldogs vs. Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks

The Mediapolis Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Mediapolis came into this matchup off a tough 28-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of West Liberty by a score of 16-14 on Friday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mid-Prairie got themselves on the board against Central Lee on Friday, but Central Lee never followed suit. They really took it to the Hawks for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Hawks in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won nine in a row.

Mid-Prairie's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mediapolis, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Mediapolis might still be hurting after the 35-14 defeat they got from Mid-Prairie when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
