Volleyball Game Preview: Liberty Bison vs. Perris Panthers

The Liberty Bison will venture away from home to face off against the Perris Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Monday, Liberty was able to grind out a solid victory over Hemet, taking the game 3-1.

Liberty had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-8, 25-21, 25-20.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Perris challenged Canyon Springs on Thursday. Perris was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Canyon Springs. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

While Perris won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 26-24.

Perris' victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.

Liberty skirted past Perris 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
