The Covenant had already won 25 in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it 26 on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Western Albemarle Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kella Lemcke paced The Covenant's offense, picking up eight kills. Lemcke got some help from Mollie Wamhoff and her 17 assists. Catherine Wilcox controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The Covenant's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Western Albemarle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Coincidentally, The Covenant and Western Albemarle will both be playing Hidden Valley the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Titans at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
