Severance couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 40-21 bruising from the Heritage Eagles on Friday. Despite 86 more yards than the Eagles, the Silver Knights couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Although Severance took the loss, they still got scores from Kaisen Falcetti, Marshall Ehrlich, and Cj Johnson.

Even though they lost, Severance was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 322 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heritage only rushed for 61.

Jamison Seese looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 214 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Severance will take on Timnath at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Severance is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Heritage, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Arapahoe at 11:00 a.m.
