Basketball Game Preview: Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders vs. West Chargers

The Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders will face off against the West Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kapaun Mt. Carmel comes in on 14 and West on three.

Kapaun Mt. Carmel saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took down Maize South 61-42.

It was another big night for Corbin Johnson, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 25 points and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jude Porter, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West walked away with it. They really took it to the Hornets for the full four quarters, racking up an 81-54 victory. The Chargers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Kapaun Mt. Carmel pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.1 points over those games. As for West, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
