Denver South entered their tilt with Northfield on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Nighthawks. This was a revenge game for the Ravens: when they faced off against the Nighthawks back in September, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Denver South had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Elaina Maldonado, who had 12 digs and four aces. Ava Lumly also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Denver South was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in seven consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Northfield lost, don't look at Zoey Rosen. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and two assists.

Denver South's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Northfield, with the defeat, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-6.

Denver South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Coronado on the 31st. As for Northfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Rampart on the 8th.
