Baseball Recap: Strathmore Takes a Loss

Strathmore lost against Orange Cove back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans lost 16-4 to the Titans. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Strathmore saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Atticus Loftin, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Strathmore's loss dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for Orange Cove, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strathmore will challenge Woodlake at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Orange Cove, they will square off against Farmersville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aztecs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight.
