Dickson County has gone a perfect 4-0 against West Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cougars will look to defend their home field against the Coyote at 5:30 p.m. Dickson County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 13 games.

On Wednesday, Dickson County made easy work of Franklin and carried off a 14-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 15 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Coralee Grove made a splash no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Dickson County got a massive performance out of Lyla Shaw, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Shaw has posted since back in March. Sophia Buttrey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Dickson County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, West Creek and Northeast faced off in a cross-town battle on Wednesday. The Coyote narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Eagles 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Coyote have posted since March 7th.

Dickson County's win bumped their record up to 28-4. As for West Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.

Dickson County got the 'W' in their previous meeting last Tuesday against West Creek by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Coyote have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
