Softball Recap: Spring Grove Comes Up Short

Spring Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-5 to the Eastern York Golden Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-9 on April 1st.

Spring Grove saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jasmine Nassar, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Spring Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Eastern York, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Coming up, Spring Grove will head out to face off against Susquehannock at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastern York, they will welcome Kennard-Dale at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
