Football Game Preview: Battle Ground Tigers vs. WF West Bearcats + Official Tickets

The Battle Ground Tigers will square off against the WF West Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Battle Ground's defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so WF West's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Battle Ground came up short against Post Falls and fell 16-8. Despite 124 more yards than the Trojans, the Tigers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Defeat or not, Battle Ground got some senior leadership from Ethan Adams and Xavier Ortegon. Adams threw for 167 yards and one TD, while Ortegon rushed for 103 yards on only 12 carries.

Battle Ground didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Trent Richardson.

Meanwhile, WF West had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They really took it to the Bobcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-21 win. The Bearcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

WF West's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Battle Ground, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
