Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Mitty Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Archbishop Mitty, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Branham Bruins on Wednesday. The Monarchs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bruins, too.

Archbishop Mitty got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 26-28, 28-30, 15-9.

Archbishop Mitty pushed their record up to 24-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Branham, they moved to 15-6 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Branham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Leigh on the 22nd. Hopefully Archbishop Mitty paid attention to the Bruins' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bruins at 3:00 p.m. on the 25th.
