Heritage skates past Westfield School with ease

Recap: Heritage Hawks vs. Westfield School Hornets

The Heritage Hawks came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Westfield School 73-36 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-16.

Heritage got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Bolinger out in front who scored 16 points along with seven assists and two steals. Bolinger has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Sam Mead, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds.

Heritage pushed their record up to 20-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Westfield School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage will challenge the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Anne-Pacelli is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Westfield School, they will head out on the road to challenge the at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Georgia (St. Mary's Academy is ranked 465th, while the Hornets are ranked 471st).
