Basketball Recap: Stadium Tigers vs. Mt. Rainier Rams

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Stadium ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They rang in the new year with a 62-50 win over the Mt. Rainier Rams. The Tigers pushed the score to 45-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Mt. Rainier saw an underclassman step up: freshman Evan Patton went 6 of 7 on his way to 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for Patton. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Simpson, who posted eight points.
